A bit about the Rockit Team.

Dave McGruddy (Director and owner)

Dave was brought up in Hawkes Bay and had the opportunity to travel the world before landing in Wellington about 19 years ago. He has worked as a Senior Recruitment Consultant over the past 17 years, and managed multiple accounts within both Government and private organisations. On a personal level he has four wonderful children, Amber, Holly, Harry and Charlie. On a professional level, Dave loves the chase of finding new opportunities, working with new clients and making the connection for both candidates and clients. He gets a real thrill out of seeing a positive outcome for people.

With the changes to the recruitment industry, Dave felt it was time to build a recruitment company that focuses on quality, instead of quantity. He has old fashioned values and believes the end to end process of recruitment should not be compromised. Dave wants to be proud of bringing traditional values with the use of new age technology. The team at Rockit is built around having common goals, working as a team, and individually enjoying what they do best!

Jobi Mathew

Jobi grew up in the Middle East and has work experience spanning 15 years in New Zealand and overseas. Rockit hit the diversity quota big time by onboarding Jobi in March 2021.Blessed with a natural curiosity and a keen interest in finding the right person, he is always on the lookout for new ways to find talented candidates for our clients.

His bachelors in IT and master’s in business administration and years of work experience making him a lethal combination for IT recruitment. During his spare time, he likes his cricket, cooking for friends and travelling.
